As businesses and nations move into the next millennium, national borders and cultures are becoming subordinated to the unifying force of global information infrastructures (GII) based on the accessibility of information technology.
Countries and corporations in Asia, Europe and America are building their political and business strategies on GII principles. The need to create economic wealth and employment growth drives much of this work. Design and implementation of successful plans for GII programs is dependent on understanding the cultural, business, and political nuances that exist today.
